TASMANIA
Plan your stay
Nature has hidden her stash down here… Tasmania is a well-kept secret, an off radar destination only insiders know.
But not for long…
Time for a holiday?
Get wild in Tasmania
Tasmania is moody, brooding, dramatic winters cosied up by the fire. Its endless summer days packed with epic adventures, one-of-a-kind thrills and gobsmacking scenery.
Its cute crittters, perfect produce, paddock to plate eats, and top tier distilleries.
And don’t forget the off-grid escapes, rugged mountain peaks, postcard-perfect rural hamlets and charming heritage towns.
Tasmania is all of these things.
It’s got that special sauce. A rare unhurried, unpretentious vibe that belies it’s exceptional natural beauty and irreplaceable wilderness.
You won’t find anything else like this.
So, what are you waiting for? Let us show you Australia’s best kept secret. So you can come on down and see for yourself what the hype’s all about.

Hey 👋🏽, I’m Tara. Creator of the Tasmania Trails travel blog, semi-retired Tiny House Accommodation Host, and full time Vizsla mum.
I have a confession to make.
I’m terrified of living life on autopilot. So every 10 years, I shake things up.
In 2021, my partner and I quit our jobs, sold our home, packed our cars and headed to Tassie with our two boisterous Hungarian Vizslas.
It was time for something different. New experiences. A fresh start. Time to learn new things. And escape the humdrum life of urban Australia.
That’s how we ended up in the bucolic rolling hills of rural Tassie. And it’s here this adventure begins…
Why trust us?
For your Tasmania travel inspo
Because we’re seasoned travellers. Adventure seekers. Wild wanderers. Aspiring hutbaggers. Hedonistic luxury-lovers. Craft beer-drinkers. Wine-&-diners.
But mostly, because we live here. And we love Tasmania.
We use all our own photos. Do our own on the ground research.
Everything you read or see we’ve personally, snapped, seen, sipped, supped, lived, trekked, smelled, touched, researched and experienced.
It’s Tasmania travel information & inspiration you won’t get elsewhere.
